Ponnampalam Pirapuraj

I am a first-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH), under the supervision of Dr. Jyothi Vedurada. My current research interests include program analysis and Compiler optimization using Large language models and Static analysis.

And, I am a Senior Lecturer at dept. of ICT, Faculty of Technology, South Eastern University of Sri Lanka. I completed my MSc in Computer Science in the Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Moratuwa. I have completed my bachelor's degree in Computer Science at South Eastern University of Sri Lanka.

• Group Project – Development of a Filling Station Management System (Third year group project). This project is aimed to reduce human effort and human error in a filling station. And also to manage huge amount of staff details, their salary and maintenance. Team Role: java programmer, user interface designer, and database maintenance. Programs used: Java, SQL, NETBEANS IDE


• Research Project – Smart Garbage Collection Using GPS & Shortest Path Algorithm. This project consists of an Android application to broadcast the location of the device, a hardware system to make a bin as smart bin and a web interface to display them. Platforms and tools: Smart phone with android operating system, Arduino Board, ultrasonic Sensor, JAVA, Eclipse IDE with ADT, MYSQL, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX.
